ChangeSender™
Exchange Send-As for Outlook
Choose which sender address your emails go out from — per message, in Outlook. Automatic reply address matching, signature switching, and keyboard shortcuts. Essential for anyone managing multiple email identities in Exchange.
Everything you need to manage
multiple email identities in Outlook
Per-Message Sender Selection
A send-as dropdown appears directly in the Outlook mail form. Select any configured address before sending — no extra steps, no menus to hunt through.
Automatic Reply Address Matching
When you reply to an email, ChangeSender automatically sets the sender address to match the address the original email was received on. No manual selection needed.
Email Signature Switching
Configure a different Outlook signature for each sender address. ChangeSender automatically switches the signature when you change the send-as address.
Per-Address Sent Items Folders
Optionally save sent mail to different Outlook folders depending on which sender address was used. Keep your sent items organized by identity.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Assign keyboard shortcuts (CTRL-1, CTRL-2, etc.) to your most-used sender addresses for rapid switching without lifting your hands from the keyboard.
Administrator Controls
Administrators can restrict which sender addresses each user may choose from, or lock specific users to a fixed sender address — configurable via the server component.
Shared Address Support
Multiple users can send from the same shared address (sales@, support@, info@) without the message appearing as 'sent on behalf of'. Full name control included.
Terminal Server / Citrix
Available in a separate Terminal Server / Citrix edition for multi-user environments. A DisableTool utility lets administrators control which users see the add-in.
Outlook & Exchange versions
ChangeSender works with any combination of supported Outlook and Exchange Server versions. Both client (Outlook add-in) and server (Exchange component) installers are included.
Common questions
ChangeSender is installed but the sender address isn't changing. What's wrong?
The most common cause is that the Outlook add-in isn't loading. Check that ChangeSender appears in Outlook's Add-ins list (File > Options > Add-ins) and is enabled. If it's listed as 'inactive' or 'disabled', re-enable it. Also confirm the server component is running and can communicate with the Exchange server.
How do I restrict which send-as addresses a user can choose?
Install the server component on your Exchange server. Use the ChangeSender Server Configuration tool to define allowed sender addresses per user or group. Users will only see the addresses you configure for them in their Outlook dropdown.
Can two users share a single send-as address?
Yes. Configure the shared address (e.g. sales@company.com) in the server component and assign it to multiple users. Each user's ChangeSender will show that address as an option. Sent mail will show the shared address, not 'on behalf of'.
How do I deploy ChangeSender to all users at once?
Use the 'For all users' installer for terminal server / Citrix environments, or deploy via Group Policy or your software deployment tool. After installation, use the ChangeSenderDisable tool to disable the add-in by default, then enable it selectively for users who need it.
Does ChangeSender work on Exchange 2019 / Exchange SE?
Yes. ChangeSender is compatible with Exchange 2000 through 2019 and Exchange Server SE, with Outlook 2007 through the current Office versions.
The signature isn't switching automatically. How do I set it up?
The signature names in Outlook must match the sender address name exactly (e.g. if your address is john@company.com, the signature should be named 'john@company.com'). Once the names match, ChangeSender will switch signatures automatically when you change the send-as selection.
Can I set a default sender address for new emails?
Yes. In the ChangeSender configuration, you can set a different default send-as for new emails vs. replies. This is useful when you always want new emails to go out from a specific address, but want replies to use the automatic match.
