In a branch office scenario, the branch Exchange server handles a subset of the company's email addresses while the main office handles the rest.
Configuration
- Configure Exchange at the branch to accept an internal domain (e.g.
branchoffice.local) separate from the main company domain. - Assign branch users two SMTP addresses: one in the company domain (e.g.
jane@company.com, set as the default reply-to) and one in the internal domain (e.g.jane@branchoffice.local). - In POPcon's catch-all mailbox settings, enable "Auto replacement of recipient domains" to replace incoming
@company.comaddresses with@branchoffice.local.
This way POPcon routes incoming email to the correct local Exchange mailboxes.
