How to enable non-delivery reports (NDRs) for external senders in Exchange 2003

1. Open Exchange System Manager.
2. Go to Global Settings > Internet Message Formats.
3. Double-click the default entry.
4. Check "Allow non-delivery reports".
5. Click OK.

External senders will now receive bounce messages when email cannot be delivered to a recipient on your Exchange server.
