Fixed in POPcon version 2.8 and later. POPcon now sends a postmaster notification when a message file disappears unexpectedly, instead of hanging.
Recommendation
Exclude the POPcon program folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\POPcon) from real-time antivirus scanning. POPcon processes files very quickly — real-time scanning can interfere with file operations. Schedule a periodic scan instead.
