The ChangeSender Server installation includes a utility called "Configure ChangeSender Client Restrictions". Use it to control what sender addresses each user can choose in Outlook.
Configuration options
- Default — allow users to choose from email addresses configured in Active Directory
- Single address — restrict to one specific address with no user choice
- Unrestricted — allow users to send from any address
For computers in the AD domain
The Outlook add-in reads restriction settings directly from Active Directory. Configure in the utility and settings apply automatically.
For computers outside the AD domain (HTTPS connection)
- Set restrictions in the utility for the user.
- Click "Export config file". The file is named after the user's email address (e.g.
jane@company.com.cfg). - Transfer the file to the user's computer and import it in the ChangeSender add-in.
